Expression Africa
The inaugural Nomadic Arts Festival was held in Nairobi in December 2024 at the Chandaria Hall at the Visa Oshwal Centre, followed by an after-party at Geco Central (Sarakasi Dome). It brought together artists from the region and Nairobi for a range of captivating and intriguing performances blending traditional music and storytelling sessions highlighting the issues affecting Northern Kenya communities. The festival also featured a marketplace for local artisans and businesses, promoting economic opportunities alongside artistic expression. It is set to become an annual event, continuing to promote collaboration, preserve cultural traditions, and amplify voices from the region.
